Really? Why is everything all or nothing with you? No one has suggested that all the blame lies with the message board posters venting their frustrations and trashing the CEO. Nor has anyone suggested that Gerald bears no responsibility for the current share price. But Gerald doesn't control the share price. His job is not to make you money, as was recently stated. His job is to lead this start-up company to great things, which I believe he is doing. The share price will eventually take care of itself if he focuses on the business and execution of their strategy, of course with great science and advisors guiding him through the lab-to-market minefield that so many companies find themselves hitting a mine and blowing themselves out of existence.
A good analogy would be someone who buys a an classic car as an investment, believing it will be worth more later on than it is worth today. Yet they complain about the car, point out all it's faults on a daily basis, and then wonder why no one is interested in purchasing their classic. Actions have consequences, even if the person doesn't understand them.
The only people who make themselves look like a fool here are those who complain constantly about their investment and the company outlook, yet continue to hold their shares. What kind of fool does that?
