Anything that enhances endogenous MANF is the property of the discoverer.But it's all very ambiguous how far our scientific discovery and patent stretches. You never know what piece of our science someone else might rely on. We could very well have grounds to challenge. One benefit for us interacting with academics is they don't have the same interest incentives or resources to fight patent battles in most cases. We are undoubtedly the MANF leaders, they'd rather just get to a mutually beneficial point
