Game Changing IPBaseT(TM) Solution From Aurora With A/V and USB 2.0 Over IP Debuts at ISE 2015
BURNABY, BC, Feb 09, 2015 (Marketwired via COMTEX) -- Icron Technologies Corporation, a leader in USB and video extension technology, today announced that Aurora Multimedia Corporation, a leader in IP control systems and HD video distribution, will be showcasing the newly introduced IPX-TC1 audio/video distribution system over IP enabled with ExtremeUSB® extension technology at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) Show 2015 at Amsterdam RAI, the Netherlands.
The IPX-TC1 is the initial product from Aurora's inaugural IPBaseT(TM) technology platform, providing a 10G fiber pipeline to transport audio, video and USB 2.0 signaling from multiple rooms over a local area network (LAN) to a standard off-the-shelf 10G Ethernet switch. The IPX-TC1 supports 4K video with zero compression and latency, up to 32 audio channels and USB 2.0 up to 480Mbps when the ExtremeUSB expansion port is utilized. ExtremeUSB provides transparent USB extension and is compatible with all major operating systems including Windows® 8. Additionally, the IPX-TC1 offers unique flexibility in serving as either a transmitter or receiver, permitting the installer to configure each unit at the time of set-up.
"We believe our new IPBaseT platform to be a true game changer for audio-video distribution," said Paul Harris, CEO of Aurora Multimedia. "With performance, simplicity and compatibility being the key elements of the IPX-TC1, it really was an easy decision to incorporate ExtremeUSB for those customers requiring USB extension."
"We are pleased to be included in Aurora's new IPBaseT platform design for USB extension," said Robert Haefling, Icron's CEO. "This new and innovative solution with ExtremeUSB ensures Aurora's customers will benefit from full USB 2.0 functionality over their IP networks to coincide with their audio and 4K video applications."
Aurora will have the IPX-TC1 on display at ISE booth 4-T18 from February 10th to 12th at Amsterdam RAI in the Netherlands.
