But speaking of Gerald's quote, when was the last time he actually mentioned performing a RS from strength, and has he ever actually indicated what his pps target would be for an eminent RS? Setting a pps target for a RS would take his predictions from being visceral and nebulous, to putting it into hard quotable facts. I feel the market would welcome such a tangible statement, as opposed to just guessing what it will be whenever it comes along. By stating that a RS pps target is unknown due to futuristic [ i]"market conditions that remain unkown"[/i] is too much wiggle room for most, while driving wide ranging speculation as well.
That said, I suspect the days of past would have anticipated a 1:3, but that is when we had 180-Mil. in the float. Since that time, we've increased the float 5-fold, and are presently at 927-Mil. float, quite possibly higher. And the float is only continuing to grow sequentially. For a sound trading float on the NAS of say 50-Mil. = 1:20 RS using todays 927-Mil. That is a relatively large RS no matter how you slice or dice it.
AMBS has taken on extreme financing (albeit creative), while bringing new award winning acquisitions in, and continuing its spend on requisite testings of the Dx pipeline. The enormity of these deals, coupled with a monthly $700k burn have placed AMBS in the greatest spending mode of its entire history.
Whether you want to believe it or not, the float increase along with an eminent RS have contributed to why the share price remains stagnent. Does AMBS have the muscle to land a deal or 2, in order to churn the float once or twice, thereby getting the pps to $0.20 or so - obviously yes - more so now than ever - make no question about it.
However, IMHO the days of getting the pps substantially higher such as $0.50 to $0.75 by 2Q15 for a NAS uplisting are waining with each passing week. In order to get to just $0.50 pps, we would need a FMV = $400-Mil. At todays current FMV = $64-Mil., we would need greater than a 6-bagger from here. Thats quite a stretch - with almost 1-Bil. out. While I personally would welcome a 6-bagger within the next 5 months, I would much rather keep it 'real' and look for a 3-bagger at $0.23 pps. But thats just my expectation level and does not in anyway reflect anyone elses on this thread.
