It is my belief that the 50 movies were simply being added to the server ... to ultimately be released on UltraFlix when they can be. The tweet did not state that all 50 movies would be available on UltraFlix at that time. The other delays are unfortunate, but I think they will be there (like The World's Fastest Indian and Rocky) ... with a lot more coming available in January.
I think just obtaining content from MGM, Magnolia, Universal Pictures, etc. is a monumental achievement ... they are obviously working with established industry giants with the help of some impressive connections ... Mitch Lowe, Tom Cosgrove, Rod Riegel ... in reality, I think NTEK is better off now than ever ... with attractive 4K TV prices, more sets are being sold than expected ... which means more UltraFlix customers.
Sure, NTEK is not a perfect company ... and have made some mistakes ... and is not immune to legitimate questions and criticism ... certainly there are areas that could be improved ... but if I did not trust the company any longer ... if I ever reached a state of frustration to the point of bashing/trashing and crapping my own investment, I think I would simply sell and move elsewhere - to an investment that I did trust and I felt would ultimately perform better. Why stay where you no longer believe? ... don't get it ... I don't find pissing into the wind too beneficial ... and I certainly
don't subscribe to the conspiracy theories and the scam claims.
Anyway ... looking forward to The Future of Television.
