The "companies" they are referring to that are being charged a fee are broker-dealers, sir. OTCMarkets lists those fees on their website as well.

Again, the "companies" that are being referred to is the broker-dealer companies. Publicly traded companies are not the only entities that are referred to as "companies". You're assuming that by saying "companies" they are referring to companies that are being traded. I assure you, they are not.
