Anyone owning 250K shares would receive the same dividend distribution no matter when they were purchased, as long as it's before the ex-dividend date announced.
The logistics of a tiered distribution based on length of ownerships seems near impossible, especially for traders who maintain a core position and trade the rest.
I have no doubt a single ownership date will be used for any dividend payout.
