GTATQ $$$$ Other than AAPL buying GTAT, seems like dropping the Q is the only way to keep the documents sealed.
And isn't Corning also worth Billions?
$GTAT
If a buy out were to happen... it wouldn't be Apple, it would be a supplier. Seeing as corning is THE current supplier and has the most to lose they seem to me to be the most likely suitors in a buyout scenario. If the shift in the smart phone category moves towards Sapphire, don't you think the industry's largest supplier of the declining technology would transition to the trending technology? Now, how would corning go about this transition... how would Apple keep their glass issues under wraps? Wouldn't they want to keep their secrets and GTs IP in-house? Isn't Corning interested in "cornering" the smartphone glass business? And, isn't Corning as good as "in-house?"
Love conjecture
Yes, I'm sure there will be a large collective sigh of relief once we really start making some pps strides.
If they do work this out we should see $2 fairly quickly. The sooner the better, for all parties.
It really makes me wonder if not settling, opening docs, and opening doors may be the better move for $GTAT? We could see a PR blitz with lots of Big Time names involved.
Personally I'm hoping in settlement with AAPL but all is not lost if that doesn't occur.
GTATQ $$$$ Whatever is in the documents, it carries a $50 million penalty per violation...."PER" meaning there's more than one....but the good thing is if the documents are opened as per the court order the penalties are not applicable since the court ruling takes precedence. he-he!
It could conceivably motivate Apple to sweeten the deal to the extent that GTAT(Q) could drop the Chap 11 altogether.
After $2 it's clear sailing
What the hell could possibly be in those documents??? Whatever it may be, David seems to have Goliath right where he wants him
$$$$$$$$$GTAT$$$$$$$$$$
GTATQ CHART >>>
GTATQ $$$$ Agree...but more of a nightmare for AAPL if/when the documents are opened and they can't meet future production estimates.
It would be a nightmare for all parties to not get this resolved. Just set the Egos aside and settle this, get back to business with a new incentive laden contract.
GTATQ $$$$ Exactly....and AAPL's need to keep the documents sealed is another huge motivating factor
If you consider all aspects of this situation
GTATQ $$$$ I would anticipate the stock being halted prior to the announcement and depending upon the deal with AAPL, would reopen between $3 to $10 and move back up to pre filing share price
GT can't work with any other company right now, they signed an Exclusivity Agreement with Apple. That's another reason GT wants to rid those contracts, and will be a huge win for GT once they are "set free". Doors will open for other companies to approach GT, but definitely not before. I'm sure there's a huge fine for GT if it even looks like they are talking to others.
GTATQ $$$$ Very commendable of the Mayor of Arizona to engage AAPL in amicable talks considering the incentives AAPL received from Arizona....personally I would want to strangle them

Does that mean we go to pre filing Chapter 11 share price?
