If you think the $700/ton ($0.35/lb) price is inflated, that's certainly your right. If you want to believe PTOI can turn that all to diesel at their stated 87% efficiency, that's your right too. With your assumptions, PTOI is likely already profitable. You should let them know that you've determined that they're profitable, not me.
The elements in other plastics: Plastics, other than HDPE, LDPE and PP, have oxygen, nitrogen and/or other compounds in them in addition to carbon and hydrogen. You can see how those elements would also end up in the resulting oil. For your reference, diesel is only carbon and hydrogen.
