As I said, if you look at the average rates for HDPE/LDPE/PP scrap preclude making even diesel profitably.

Such contrived statements continue to undermine your case. I don't need to look at average prices - I only need to find owners / sellers / producers of plastic under .22/lb, or about $450 a ton. Again - there are several questions that are left unanswered, and ultimately they will be. But the simple math formula based on an inflated average price for HDPE/LDPE/PP is meaningless in many cases.

Using other plastics may be cheaper but will have other elements which end up on the resulting oil.

I can't speak to the specific chemistry involved, but I would ask whether those "other elements" that you refer to would wind up in the resulting oil, or in the continuous residue removal kiln?

I'm certain you will also see Agilyx go down the tubes eventually

Whether or not Agilyx makes it has no bearing on PTOI's survivability, since they are separate companies. I thought Agilyx was bringing out a Gen 6 product line, which may or may not be more efficient. And it's a pity that Agilyx isn't publicly traded - you could put your conviction to work for you by shorting its stock into the ground.

even though you can point to an investment by Richard Branson as 'proof' that it's not.

Branson and I don't have a correspondence - but I think he would say that investing in start up tech is a risky business, and that there are no guarantees.

Mr. Branson didn't do his DD well enough. Laugh now if you want but you'll figure it out later.

If Branson winds up writing off his investment, I won't be dancing on its grave laughing - not my style. I actually have respect for those who are willing to take risks in order to advance the conversation, not those who sit on the sidelines proselytizing about how wrong and stupid everyone else is.

Yes, you can add all sorts of hypotheticals suchs "What if someone can give PTOI all the optimal plastic PTOI needs for free??" or "What if the government decides to subsidize PTOI with $6 for every gallon??"

The hypotheticals you mention are absurd - perhaps you need some more coffee. The only hypothetical I present is for PTOI to sell a processor to an end user who has the plastic already. Trying to hold up the old business as a template for all future PTOI applications is likewise not very bright.

However in the current environment, PTOI can't make a profit as long as they're limited by the laws of physics even if we assumed the catalyst was magic.

LOL - we've moved from simple math to the laws of physics.....so be it. As to the profits - we'll find out soon enough.

Enjoy your weekend
