I have to agree with Megamania. Bill was quiet for a long time after trying very hard to work with the people of the town. He only finally said something because he was getting mounting pressure from shareholders who are upset by what's been going on. In fact, I think the townspeople who stand to benefit with jobs and revenue from this company should stand up and speak. Local contractors got a lot of work from us in retrofitting Building #1 and erecting Building #2 and doing all that fencing, and working at Site #2. The main contractor was at the shareholders open house in February, and was welcomed there. He was up on the stage with Bill and Sam and the others, one of whom was a local former farmer and now attorney, who shared his personal experiences and feelings about the company. That construction directly contributed to the community And even at the shareholders open house, over the course of two days, a lot of food and drinks were provided that came from the community. We have been spending money there and are perfectly willing to spend more. CEN has made it clear all along they plan to hire local people to work at the facilities. And locals are certainly free to invest in the company and profit, along with everyone else. They are welcome. Not to mention our efforts will benefit Canadian medical marijuana buyers primarily.
Where is our SUPPORT from the locals, Mr. Canuck? And I ask this respectfully, not as a challenge. Why is no one speaking up for us?
This is all just my opinion, and not meant to chastise anyone. I do wonder, though, from my view, where is the support for us? Who better to clear up these problems than the locals who have and will benefit from the company?
