I think what the town is reacting to, and many here may have chosen to forget is the comments Bill Chaaban has made regarding the town and its officials and their support. Bill stated this past summer, at a convention that once HC grants their license, the town no longer has any authority over that site, but being a good neighbor he will fill them in on what he is doing. Bill also stated grandfathering was his right but the town legal council said since no medical mj facility has been approved, there is no basis upon which to grandfather anyone in. JUly 15 town minutes, page 69. Read it for yourself. Bill also stated last fall and all of this year and summer the town had approved his facility when they have not so Bill has brought this latest move on himself. The town is right in asuring local residents, not shareholders who may never visit Canada never mind Lakeshore, that this industry will be controlled for the benefit of all. Bill has stated all along the town and its residents knew what was up. Bill, can you explain why the building permits in your cousins name state the end use of that new 58,000 sq foot building is listed as Agricultural Storage? Why was that?
