Louie used to nibble on my lobes. Not sure how I broke him off it. Probably just by my showing disdain by the act. Mind you, he was a quick learner of many things simply because he was so young. I raised him from 6 weeks. Like all birds, he tried perching on mine and other's heads. I stopped that quickly, and he learned quickly.
As a Conure, he was somewhat smaller than your birds, so he (and I) was easily able to be happy hanging from my neckchain.
The girls were just amazed with how much he was like a fixture on my neckchain or shoulder. We used to dazzle 'em at the Ocean Deck, in Daytona.
He was a stud, if a bird could be one.
I swear, he may have had a brain the size of a pea, but ounce for ounce, he was smarter that 98% of the people I've known.
In under 7 months, he knew red, green, yellow, orange, and black, and 1 thru 6 on an abacus.
At 9 mos, he was learnin' quickly how to ride a (3") skateboard.
God only knows how I miss Louie. More than any women I've ever known.
