Chris: Yes I did hear that and it's time right now

CD 69 is the bio-marker we're looking for to determine if someone has Alzheimers. It is present on white blood cells.
These other six bio-markers are sub-classes of white blood cells. They each express CD 69 in varying degress.
CD 19 (B Lymphocyte) is giving us the most accurate expression of CD 69 and the likelihood someone has alzheimers. Gerald thought this was the one most BP would mostly likely be interested in. (For cost & practicality)
CD 3, CD 4, CD 8, CD 14, & CD 45 also detect the expression of CD 69, but they are not quite as accurate as CD 19.
So even though LymPro has the ability to use all 6 bio-markers (multivariant) and combine their numbers and get an even more accurate reading of sens & spec in the 90s, it is more complicated and expensive to do that. Gerald said he thought BP might just want to do the univariant bio-marker CD 19. He said it has tested to be 80% accurate. While that is less than the 90s that we've been talking about, it is very comparable to the screening accuracy of what BP is using now....but it is much, much less expensive!!
Gerald referred to these academic blood tests like Georgetown's that had like 20 univariant bio-markers in their tests, but to do them all was impractical. It would be too complicated and expensive to do that for thousands of patients in clinical trials. Besides, they are 2 or 3 years off.
LymPro is ready now, even with just the one CD 19 univariant biomarker with an accuracy of 80%! Gerald is saying because it is so easy and inexpensive, BP is going to really go for it, probably using it to narrow down the field of patients. Then, if they wanted, they could also use whatever screening test they've been using, (which is much more expensive) but on a smaller group that have already been screened by LymPro. (Companion Diagnostic; Two tests are better than one, especially if the new one being added is much less expensive!)
We need to become familiar with these bio-markers on this mb so that when the "bridge test" data is presented, we'll know what the hell it is talking about. This knowledge will also arm us with ammo to fend off the soft bashers who will try to discredit Lympro like they did after the #C4C5 Conference.
Remember this:
CD 69 is the bio-marker we're looking for indicating AD.
CC 19 is the sub-class univariant bio-marker that is most accurate in detecting the expression of CD 69.
Here is a musical analogy:
CD 69 is the "Jacksons"
All the other CD #s are Tito, Jerome, Janet, etc. But obviously, CD 19 is Michael, cause he is the best! Got it?
