I hear you..... cannot disagree in general but the overiding issue for me, and I suspect for all of us is making some serious green. MINE product line will do just that.
Its not the ultimate health drink but WAAAAAY better than most, will taste great I believe, and allow me to QUIT MY JOB !!!
Right on my friend..... we are going to make a lot of money here.
Perhaps I'm not the health purist that some are. I have been a runner for 30 years and employ 5 times a week the NutriBullet which I recommend to every human being.....
I just don't think that the sweetners mentioned are that big a deal in the scheme of things.
I do hear what you're saying and appreciate that thought process.... I just think you're being a bit harsh.
it's an active debate whether acesulfame potassium contains methylene chloride or not. in the reading i've done, each side is convinced they are right. the FDA and beverage industry fiercely defend acesulfame potassium as safe.
the point of my original post on ingredients is if there's no definitive proof of toxicity with two of the three sweeteners in the drink, and if the primary one, far and away the largest ingredient by volume other than carbonated water, is natural, can't we at least agree this is a positive?
enrythritol on its own, or enhanced with a 100% natural sweetner like stevia, would be my choice. same goes for coloring. the beauty of being a shareholder is you can give management feedback on it. let's consider how many drinks currently contain only stevia, and these are good selling products to a truly health-conscious market.
changes like this would create a marketing edge, if claims could be made about a 100% natural drink. i'm willing to bet the ingredients of vitaminfizz can and will be modified if shareholders request it. go for it.
Cost could be a factor...
The artificial stuff is a much more powerful sweetener and probably cost much less..
Totally agree. Why not just get rid of the artificial.
Good point about taste. I will taste first, but I can't stand diet drinks. Many use sucralose. My real problem is with the marketing language. It's essentially a diet soft drink (soda) with vitamins, yes? I just feel we are at a point where consumers are being told that all sodas (diet/or sugar) are not healthy options. Google diet soda and you will see study after study that links diet drinks to health problems.
So if Enrythritol is the second ingredient, which means it's pretty significant as the main sweetener, why do we even need the acesulfame and sucralose? More and more people are becoming educated to the side effects of these artificial sweeteners. I've been a long since April but I'm just a little disappointed with this aspect. Hopefully, there's a lot of ignorant consumers out there. As a new start up with a revised product, they could have done this better since their market is supposedly geared to the more health conscience.
wow -- you left out the 2nd ingredient -- Erythritol, which is a natural compound, a sugar alcohol. the other ingredients you're focusing on are just a tiny % of the drink.

Yes. Its a very small point that i avoid artificial sweeteners. Especially these two. I will try the product and hope it does well but i will not spread stuff i am against. Sorry. Will just wait for coffee boost.
First let me say I hold a long position in MINE. And I intend to add to that. My holding here is basically based on the management team in place and their business associations within the beverage industry. All these guys, and their connections in the business, have been around the block and done so successfully (very) and I see no reason they will fail this time..
Second let me say,
So by your line of thinking if they could make s#!t taste good your ok with that...
I'm not saying VFizz is s#!t at all. What I am saying is there are many people out here, and that number is growing, that actually care about what we put into our bodies.. When I have to have a degree in chemistry to understand what it is I am about to eat or drink, it concerns me.
MINE management obviously has a different target group in mind.. BUT, I have no doubt they know what their market is..
I am here to make money and believe this management group knows how that is done.
I know this is a small point....... but how about actually tasting it before making a definitive judgement.
cant wait to be chasing my alcoholic beverages in college with this... going to get my whole college to buy in, and everyone else who is in college should do the same.. Once people taste this and realize its much healthier than soda more and more will buy in... This is a marathon guys not a sprint

Really? Sucralose and Acesulfame(bad bad bad stuff). Didn't they mention Stevia? Really disappointed with this. Going to taste like every other drink that uses it.
Not a big fan of those choices either. they want to attract to those making healthier choices but hope those people are not very smart or serious about those choices. The food coloring is a bummer, too. I'm sure plenty will buy it but I would prefer different marketing target. People are dumb and i suppose L5 knows this.
Well, for the past several months I've been wondering what the sweetening agent/s would be for the revised vitamin fizz. I was hoping it would have turned out to be something natural such as cane sugar or stevia but instead it's Acesulfame Potassium and Sucralose, both artificial sweeteners.
Here's the complete list of ingredients, at least for the lemon lime but all products have the same base: Carbonated Water, Erythritol, Citric Acid, Natural Flavors, Potassium Sorbate (to preserve freshness), Sodium Benzoate (to preserve freshness), Niacinamide, D-Calcium Pantothenate, Acesulfame Potassium, Sucralose, Gum Acacia, Glycerol Ester of Wood Rosin, Ascorbic Acid, FD&C Yellow 5, FD&C Blue 1, EDTA (to preserve freshness), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Cyanocobalamin
I hope you realize that the company is not going to ONLY sell products through Amazon. In fact, the Amazon sales it not what is going to bring in the needed revenue. If you read yesterday's PR carefully,it states categorically that Amazon is to allow the MINE fan base to try the product before the product is more widely available.
I agree with you that most purchasers on Amazon would be shareholders and their relations but that's by design. As far as the shipping cost goes, its a non issue because I don't see it stopping product enthusiasts from ordering. Much ado about nothing really.IMO
OK audience, what is the word of the day?
