One day a scorpion was begging a frog to carry him across the river so he could be with his family on the other side. The frog said, "You're just saying that so you can sting me." "No," said the scorpion, "I promise I won't sting you. Besides, if I did sting you on the river I myself would drowned." So with that the frog let him on his back. But right as the frog was half way across the river....the scorpion stung him! As the frog was gasping for his last breath of air he cried out, "Why did you sting me when it means both of us will die?" The scorpion responded "That's just who I am."
