I tend to believe the "soft bashers" as you refer

That being said, I'm going to take my own advice and get away from the boards for a while. While many might find this endless dissection of everything the company is doing as helpful, I see much of it as unnecessary speculation and concern. The speculation and vain attempts to connect the dots usually results in unwarranted expectations by investors, and then anger and frustration when the company fails to meet those expectations, and even accusations the company has led investors astray. Hogwash. Some investors lead themselves down this path, and can't even admit it's their own fault. They need to focus on what the company actually says, not what they expect to happen from their own overanalysis of things.
I'm sure many will see this as a "stick my head in the sand" ostrich approach to investing. I don't really care what others think of my investing style. I see it as having done my DD and having complete confidence in the management, advisors, strategy involved, and especially the science. An ostrich investor like myself will continue to do his DD, reading the company releases as well as contacting management when I have questions, which is not very often. Again, trust and confidence here, not a constant need for handholding and having so little confidence in my investment that I can't spend even a day away from it. I can.
It's becoming obvious to me that I'm growing increasingly agitated with the constant generation of concerns on the message boards where shareholders justify their overzealous concerns as doing proper DD. The insinuation that Gerald is hiding info from investors was enough for me. I have news for shareholders... Gerald DOES hide some info from us, because his job is to run the company, releasing only the info to shareholders that is appropriate. Some shareholders seem to believe they have a right to ALL information, and when something appears to be withheld (usually for strategic reasons), they automatically start to assume something must be wrong. I find my blood pressure rising when I read those kinds of posts from shareholders who claim they are long but think they are justified in their concerns. Enough.
So I think it will do me good to get away from the boards for a while and focus only on the company's news releases, blogs, and SEC filings. I continue to believe this will be the best investment of my life. I know I have a very credible source to answer any questions I may have related to publicly released information. I'm not overly concerned about the unreleased information because I have faith in those running this company, and I don't want to overanalyze things to the point of creating frustration with myself or others. If you want to live in that constant state of frustration, that's your choice.
Catch you all later. Enjoy the ride.
