It's a ploy by the councilors to drag out the regulations until after FITX is licensed. It was painfully obvious that the deny and deflect tactics were in full effect last night by a few members. These people knew before January about the facility location and the desire to grow 1.3M lbs.
Step back and realize that once FITX is licensed, then they can say (as some did last night) that CEN Biotech was just a pole barn, but Health Canada is to blame for the MMJ plant. CEN Biotech's pole barn was inspected weekly at times to ensure the agricultural zoning compliance, but now that Health Canada licensed them, there is nothing the poor city council can do but pass regulations to ensure new building sites are done how they want.
It's easy to see the shell game. Remember, they 100% for fact knew before January about CEN Biotech's intentions. No worries and full steam ahead.
