Mind if I answer this question below from another

As someone who has known Mr. Kennedy a long time, yes, he is overly optimistic sometimes. But, he is only this way when he has good reason to be. He is a very positive person but he is also pretty shrewd and cautious. And it is a good thing he is because you and I and everyone else on this board would have GIVEN UP a long long time ago during the last 7 years of effort. Someone who is not super positive would have quit when they hit a brick wall, smashed through the wall and found another wall on the other side and unable to see the other walls lined up on the other side of that. You and I would have said "&%$* THIS!" and been out the door.
Four to five years ago when the state said "yes, sir, Mr. Kennedy, your permit is coming to you next week, no problem!" Kyle was very positive about that. Turns out that same person would then jump on the phone with their in-house counselor and try to find another way to delay Kyle from getting the permit. You have an archeologist? Well you need two. You have two now? Well they need to have Masters degrees. They do now? Well, uh, give me another week and I'll find another excuse. Delay, delay, delay...
That was a hell of a brick wall. Imagine 4 or 5 more of them. Get through one and there is another. So, yes, to keep slugging away at that wall takes a lot of optimism, I would say you would have to be "overly optimistic" to be able to handle that and keep at it.
But you need to understand, DO NOT GET IN THIS MAN'S WAY! I know of no one that is this determined. Part of it is optimism, part of it is hard work, part smarts, part "I don't know how to give up". He's got a big dose of that. Also part humility. Would you work for no salary for 7 years slamming a hammer against brick walls? Not me!
So part of me says, "Yes, I understand. I thought we were right there and then we are not." And part of me says, "Shut up and get out of the way. Don't like it? Sell and move on to that other company with the potential of this one with the CEO, President and Chairman who works for free."
There is no one else who can make this happen. No one with his skills, no one in his particular situation, no one with his "overly optimistic" attitude.
Personally, I say "Thank you" to Mr. Kennedy for everything he has done and for everything he is going to do. But the rest will be a lot easier, a whole lot easier. It's the unrewarding part that is the hardest.

permit cleared FINAL hurdle
Six weeks ago according to people here and indirectly from KK.
We had the GPS goof. that was going to increase our size of the area, but it also was the ONLY thing that was holding us up. Then some guy wanted us to map all the mag hits and put them in order as to how we were going to go after them. We did that. And then .. well, then we were done. It had already gone to so and so's desk for approval, and would not need to go back. It had already cleared the Thursday meetings, and would not need to go back. It was already past the lkast reviewer, and woul dnot need to go back. In fact, Kyle was waiting (I think now four weeks ago) for a phone call to go pick it up. Literally just a phone call. It was done. Needed the ink to dry, and then he could pick it up. that call was probably coming on Wednesday, although he might pick it up late int he week or early the next week.
Now? Lord knows what now, as nothing has been released. WEEKS later. So, I ask the board a tough question. One I am askikng myself, having talked to Kyle numerous times.
Is Kyle just an overly optimistic person who sees things as a green light when the state is still really giving him a yellow or red one? Yes, yes, I know. I can call and talk to him. I've DONE that. NUmerous times. Every time, he is about to figuratively discovery that the moon is made of gold, not cheese, and about to fall into one of our permitted areas. Yes, he is optiomistic. Yes he cleared some tough hurdles but now they are done. S hoot, back in MARCH or so he was FINALLY clear with the financials that SFRX had to help Heartland finish so the final
approval could be given and it was probably about 2 - 3 weeks away. Obviously, he was wrong about that. Optimistic? yes. Moving forward? yes. But his thinking was inaccurate, no matter what you say. So again - is he just super optimistic, and tell ing us all the positive things he hears because they stick in his mind, yet the negative things that are mentioned go right through and they are important but ignored by him? I have to admit I HAVE seen it in treasure hunting companies before. Optimism that turns into unintentional lies. Whether it be four or five times that a supposed TV show would be finished and aired or a supposed split with a governmentof things already found, in spite of the fact that the government was firmly saying it ws NOT about to happen, people hear what they want to hear and get excited about the positive. I in NO way think Lyle is stringing us along. But there is NO doubt that when things are expected like a permit in a few weeks and that drags out to MONTHS, then theinformation absorbed by the person saying they are done and ready to pick it up is incomplete.
I said I was concerned about six weeks ago. I said I would give it another week and then might lighten up. I was told, by more than one person, and even on some posts, basically "Don't sell at the end of THIS week. Watch. Something good (wink wink) is coming, and we expect it early NEXT week. DOn't miss it by a day or two. Hold on. You'll be happy. Watch. early next week." OKay, that was over a month ago. Just seems that something is missing.
ANother one to answer. In the last four weeks (Not before. Not the GPS coordinate. Not the review back to someone else's desk. Not the Heartland issues that needed fixes) WHAT has truly been the hold up? It already passed the LAST Thursday meeting it needed to go to. It got final approval from all the higher ups. It was waiting for a phone call to pick it up. So WHAT is the hold up THIS time. And is it ALWAYS going to be a "this time" issue, as the state plays with KK or KK hears what he wants to hear and doesn't hear the rest?
Yeah, a little grumpy this morning. But when someone says it is coming soon and you can read their post about it, ans see the SAME words from teh SAME person a month later, and a month later, and a month later, then either that somoene is misinformed W(ell, obviously, since it did not come "soon" on the post from months ago) or that person is not hearing the whole story.
I fear in this case PauL harvey's "the rest of the story". ANd my time is about up. I don't want another scenario like in other treasure hunting companies, full of optimists and yet not having thethings mentioned come to pass. (now do I want to eventually see a price of .0004!)
