Got: I agree the SEC is granted by statute the aut

Although I happen to agree with the SEC's decision in re AEGY and SKTO and will wait to see if Benz's promises materialize, I'd like to see changes in SEC protocol and regulations that acknowledge that public companies, as with arrested individuals, have clearly defined rights when suspended and are entitled to adjudication within a reasonable time frame. "Stocks suspended under questions will remain on the Grey Sheets until the SEC litigates against the company, which may take years to occur."

"The SEC suspends trading in a security when it is of the opinion that the suspension is required in the public interest and to protect investors. Because a suspension often causes a dramatic decline in the price of the security, the SEC suspends trading only when it believes that the public may be making investment decisions based on a lack of information, or false or misleading information. A suspension may prevent potential investors from being victimized by a fraud."
