GE's New LEAP Factory will use Sigma Lab's Multi-Sensor Technology for Automation
GE's new LEAP manufacturing facility will incorporate automated vision inspection system and radio frequency part management. Listening for radio frequencies emanating from a part? The use of acoustic energy is Sigma Lab's unique method in determining physical property and weld quality. All Oringinal Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) use some form of visual inspection technology to determine part quality. Yet, the problem with these visual inspection systems is that an error must occur for a detection to be noticed. Even more, no OEM can describe how the visual system will perform a closed loop action to correct printer machines for the inspection errors. This is why Sigma Lab's multi-sensor closed loop control is the most complete in utilizing acoustic, thermal, and visual inspection technologies to correct printer machines prior to the occurrence of an error. This is what Mark Cola describes as "inspection for cause" .
