Now, back to "oh stop it with your talking points". Obama and Democrats had the MAJORITY in both chambers in Congress, but they DID NOT have a supermajority. THAT is what you need to pass the measures you want without the risk of a filibuster from the other side. And REPUBLICANS used a literal HISTORICAL amount of
filibusters, saying no to job creating and equality measures from across the board. So, if to thank you for once again proving one of MY POINTS.
As for "putting people on food stamps", how BACKWARDS is that? We were in a full scale decline, losing 750k jobs a month under bush, and you dont expect the social safety net to have additional people needing help???? You just expect these millions of jobless to just magically find work...nope just call em lazy deadbeats who need foodstamps or disability. The added people to the safety net are a Direct reason why Obama has pushed for more jobs bills, to help get people back to work and off these programs! But Repubs have saud NO time and time again...just give tax cuts to the wealthiest and automatically jobs will flow! I own five restaurants, i dnt need another tax cut! I need customers who can afford my food! And WAGES in our country have been FLAT for over thirty years now, while the costs of everything else have skyrocketed. And you wonder why people need government help? When they are getting paid LESS for thesame work while their corporate overlords have five mansions. A billion dollars is 20,000 $50,000 a year jobs. NO OIL MAN or INVESTOR works harder than 20,000 of us! Yet a whole slew of people have put the system to work in their favor so they can make these ungodly sums of oney while paying their workers next to nothing, then chastising them, telling them to work harder. Yep lets have a country full of CEOs and no workers to do the work....thats their plan, not understanding the world needs janitors and carmakers and RESPECTING the fact they deserve a comfortable living as long as they are putting their time in.
Many have lost their values. As a religious person younshould be leading the way for tolerance and fair pay UP AND DOWN the corporate ladder, not lashing out into the wind reckkessly and defensively because you are comfortable....its childish and fails to grasp the most basic concepts if an economys structure. We need BALANCE! 40percent of Americans work full time and dont pay income tax because theyd be below the poverty line. Thats RIDICULOUS that so many FULL TIME NON LAZY workers are that close to Barely getting by when THEY are the ones who have helped SUSTAIN the company from the bottom up.
