Tuna, you just confused me with all those numbers,

But, that my friend, is our friends whose companies we own stock in, sticking it too the american public. Rich and poor! Have you been grocery shopping lately? Steeler went with me a few weeks ago and we just stopped by to have a few prescriptions filled. We were walking around, just grabin stuff, and I spent 275 dollars in 20 minutes. Cooking oil has gone up over 100% in price from under $2 a bottle to $4.75 in the last 2 years. That is from all this corn oil fuel shit. Dont even get me started on that one yet. It is insane. Everyone is paying too much for everything right now. But, we are really the lucky ones here. In England, they are paying I think $9 a gallon for gas. But, I don't think that most liberals WANT the country on welfare, CMON Tuna! That just means more out of their pockets as well. I am tired of the stereotype that says all democrats are poor middle to lower income families.
Steeler and I are very well off, through good old hard work. Well, I cannot lie, we did have an inheritance when my grandmother and uncle passed away. But, we donated a 1/4, $250,000 to Parkland Hospital, where my grandmother worked as a nurse for 30 years. We donated another $250,000 to St Judes for childrens research. We bought steelers parents a house, gave some to other family members. And the rest, about 200k, we put added to our kids trading accounts. They have had them since they were very young. But they are in our hands til the kids turn 25. They make all the trading decisions, but we have control. We know how kids are, lol. Anywany, back to my grandparents.
My grandfather was from Oklahoma, and he got his money in oil and natural gas wells. He owned over 30 wells in OK.
They were upper, upper class and they were democrats! And they did not believe everyone should be poor and let the wealthy take care of them. My grandparents helped people help themselves. That's how it should be unless the people can't help themselves. That's why we give money to mostly research charities. I do not believe in a "handout", I believe in a "HAND UP"! And, YES, that's what most of us liberals believe. We are followed, as an example by, those who are less fortunate than us. And it makes me proud. Every October, Steeler and I spend time walking for charity for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We fund raise starting in March and we do 2 walks a weekend for the whole month. My uncle died of leukemia several years ago and we have been fighting for a cure ever since. But we don't just talk the talk, WE WALK THE WALK! And it makes me feel good to know I am helping. There is an old saying.
If you GIVE a person a fish they will be always be hungry.
If you TEACH a person to fish, they will eat forever!
So, all democrats are not poor, or wanting a handout. There are a lot of good people out there that do not have the resources that some of us do. That is no reason to turn on them.
When we moved to Massachusetts, people up there thought we were "cowboy hat wearin, horse riding, ranch people that listened to country music." And because of the Jasper city thing, we had black people who were scared to work for us! It was horrible!
We are the UNITED STATES, not DIVIDED STATES! The best country in the world. A country against itself can not stand!
So, all conservative s listen up. No, we all do not want the country on welfare, food stamps, disability, and unemployment. We want the same things Republicans want. We are just not as SELFISH!
