2trg LogoAs a recognized leader in “recycling, renewing and re-using,” Ohio Valley Goodwill is proud of its commitment to environmental stewardship. Annually, Ohio Valley Goodwill recycles more than 42,000,000 lbs. of donated product and diverts this material from area landfills . Goodwill’s decision to work with local computer and electronic recycler, 2trg, will enable the organization to continue its commitment to the recycling of electronic materials in addition to the millions of pounds of textiles and other donations responsibly recycled each year.
Like Goodwill, 2trg is dedicated to the values of “reuse, reduce and recycle.” Goodwill has chosen 2trg as a vendor due to their verified commitment to responsible recycling, as evidenced by being both e-Stewards and R2 Certified. These certifications provide Goodwill and its donors with assurance that hazardous e-Waste will not be exported or placed in landfills.
The best part is – it’s still EASY FOR YOU!
Here’s How It Works:
1. Find a drop-off location.
Visit our Donation Locator page to find a Donation location. Computer equipment will be accepted at any of our 15 stores and 12 attended donation centers throughout the Greater Cincinnati community.
2. Drop off the item.
As a general rule, donors can just drop off the item at any participating Goodwill. However, some items may require extra preparation before you bring them in. For details, check our items we accept page.
Please note that donors are responsible for removing data from hard drives. Neither Ohio Valley Goodwill nor 2trg is liable for data removal or protection.
3. Feel good about what you’ve done.
The proceeds from your donation are all returned to Goodwill and help to support Goodwill’s important mission of putting people to work. Donate a computer and you’ll get a receipt for tax purposes, plus you’ll be helping to protect the environment and benefit your community at the same time!
