Ovidius - a good investor will always be re-evaluating his/her investments. If the evaluation shows too many red flags, caution is wise. Having defined criteria for investments isn't fear. Having rules is important for every investor. Following them is even more important. Such behavior helps to take the emotion out of investing which aids in better decision making. If a person, out of a feeling of emotional attachment to a company, is unwilling to change their investment thesis when needed, they will take losses. Emotion has no place in investing - though separating from emotion is a big challenge for most of us. To change direction based on a companies changed fundamentals is not a display of fear for the rules based investor. It actually shows the kind of discipline that creates success in this marketplace.
