Dano9008, you bring up many points that would be valid if the material you cite was up to date. So why have no articles been written about Triton since about February of this year? Why don't we see wonderful reviews about the Sawfish? Why did Triton even build a Sharc if the Sawfish was such a success? Why is the wood advertised on Triton's website only inches in width? Why isn't the market flooded with wood from Lake Volta? As for trees breaking loose and rocketing to the surface after cutting (you claim this is not a problem for the Sawfish). Think about the fact that the Sawfish still uses a feller buncher. This means the Sawfish is not yet done cutting at the time the tree is beginning it's rise. I could go on, but my point should already be clear.
As for Coast EcoTimber, their high-priced furniture and custom lumber business provides the bulk of their revenue and well as their press. Even Alana's father (before he passed away) stated publicly that she should get serious about logging. While the article regarding the contract with China is real, I see no indication the contract was ever honored. In fact, from what we can find, Alana has barely touched the large concession she has, and I only find mention of harvesting one or two trees per day. Don't get me wrong, she has a good business because the wood is in high demand and sells for a premium. However, Alana appears to be making her profit on the high end after-market, and not from just logging.
Good research though. It shows you have done some homework.
