Viscount Systems Awarded New U.S. Government Contracts

BURNABY, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Viscount Systems (VSYS), a leading-edge supplier of security systems and software, announced that it has been awarded contracts to deploy its Freedom access control technology at a series of Midwestern US Government agency facilities in Missouri, Nebraska and South Dakota. Due to the sensitive nature of these types of contracts, the company is unable to identify the agency.
"We are pleased to continue to make progress in the U.S. Federal Government market, as we are seeing real revenue opportunities emerge from the success of our original pilot projects," stated Stephen Pineau, President and CEO of Viscount. With the recent release of the new U.S. Government FICAM (Federal Identity, Credential and Access Management) requirements the advantages of Freedom over traditional panel based access control systems will only increase.”

Freedom Encryption Bridge is the first and only access control system that allows entry devices (ID cards, RFID readers, biometrics etc.) to be connected to, and controlled by, standard building IT networks without requiring expensive control panels. Freedom also utilizes existing IT permission databases (Microsoft Active Directory or LDAP) to replace the software component of traditional systems.
