North Bay Resources Expands Ore Shipment Operations at Fran Gold
North Bay Resources Takes Major Steps in Ore Shipment
North Bay Resources Inc. (the “Company” or “North Bay”) (OTC: NBRI) is excited to announce significant progress at its Fran Gold Project, where a 16-mile winter road has been successfully opened. This development has enabled the commencement of loading ore, overcoming challenging winter conditions that included up to three feet of snow and frigid temperatures. The initial shipment consists of 120 tons of surface material, which has been meticulously loaded into one metric tonne (2200 lbs.) super-sacks. These are based on flat-bed tractor trailers, ready for delivery to the nearby railhead.
Efficient Transportation to the Bishop Gold Mill
The railway will facilitate the transportation of these materials to a rail terminal, leading to the Company's Bishop Gold Mill. Recent assay results show promising grades of over 1 ounce of gold per ton, heightening expectations for the ore's value and potential yield.
Flotation Process Results
Recent metallurgy studies conducted by Woods Process Services have provided insights into the flotation recovery of gold from the Fran Gold ore. The findings indicate the ore's favorable compatibility with the flotation process, with head grade assays confirming results exceeding 1 ounce per ton. The flotation process will utilize specific equipment, involving grind techniques aligned with the Bishop Gold Mill’s existing setups, alongside the application of a frother and specialized reagents for optimal recovery.
Expanded Equipment for Enhanced Operations
To further enhance processing capabilities, North Bay Resources has made a strategic acquisition of gravity circuit gold separation equipment from Ruby Gold Mines, Inc. (RGI). The newly acquired equipment, which includes a Knudsen Bowl and a Gemini Shaker Table, is expected to significantly optimize gold extraction processes at the Bishop Gold Mill. This advanced equipment will be installed and tested shortly, paving the way for improved efficiency in processing gold ore from the Fran Gold Project.
Further Developments in Gold Extraction
Initial testing with the gravity circuit at the mill has successfully shown the recovery of gold, and the Company has already shipped concentrate recovered via this method to its refining partner in Reno, Nevada, for further evaluation. These advancements mark a promising phase for North Bay as it continues to develop its mining capabilities.
Fran Gold Project Overview
The Fran Gold Project spans an impressive 34,360 acres, conveniently located 20 miles from a major copper and gold mine, ensuring access to infrastructure and resources. Extensive diamond drilling—over 50,000 feet across 104 holes—has resulted in the identification of a promising gold deposit measuring 3700 feet in length with a depth exceeding 700 feet. This deposit features up to four well-defined parallel gold veins, with some sections grading as high as 2.6 troy ounces of gold per ton. Surface trenching has revealed the presence of sub-zones containing non-restricted access to gold-bearing veins.
In addition to gold, the property has shown potential for copper, with samples revealing grades as high as 1.68% copper and 5.1 troy ounces of silver per ton. North Bay Resources is poised for further discoveries, given numerous mineralization showing across the property and potential for additional valuable finds.
As part of its ongoing strategy, North Bay Resources remains committed to mining exploration and development. The Company ensures adherence to industry standards, stringent performance measures, and exploration for emerging opportunities to maximize the potential of its projects.
