This recent exploration at the Goliath Gold Complex has revealed substantial gold mineralization below the current mineral resource, particularly at the eastern end of the C Zone.
Highlights of the C Zone East Intersections
The core sample TL24-678 yielded astonishing results, returning an incredible 117.95 g/t Au over 2.70 metres, within a broader interval of 6.30 metres grading 50.81 g/t Au. Notably, this included a peak of 635 g/t Au over a narrower width of just 0.5 metres, encountered at a depth of 607 metres down hole.
Further drilling, specifically the TL24-681 hole, intersected gold mineralization, demonstrating the continuity of C Zone gold. This hole returned 3.43 g/t Au over 2.20 metres, incorporating impressive grades of 13.30 g/t over 0.5 metres. Moreover, another section exhibited 1.57 g/t Au over 2.52 metres, including 4.64 g/t Au over 0.72 metres, further enhancing the understanding of this area.
Initial Interlakes Drill Program Insights
This drilling was part of an expansive 25,000-metre drill program initiated earlier, focusing on growth and discovery prospects within the 65-kilometre strike and 330-kilometre² property package. In the Interlakes area, initial drilling yielded results of orogenic-style gold mineralization in quartz veins, intersecting 2.03 g/t Au over 1.50 metres in hole IL-24-09 and 2.23 g/t Au over 1.50 metres in hole IL-24-10.
Continued Exploration and Future Targets
The current drilling of TL24-678 indicates that the gold mineralization at the Goliath property has substantial down-dip potential. This discovery aligns with previous findings from drillhole TL20-520, which highlighted significant gold intersections, suggesting a much larger mineralized system at play.
NexGold's exploration strategy extends beyond the Goliath site; the exploration team is poised to investigate further targets, primarily the Far East zone. This area is anticipated to offer higher-grade mineralization, previously identified over a 400-metre strike length and extending to around 200 metres in depth.
