Meet the 2025 Trade School Scholarship Recipients
Bryce Bain from Norman, Oklahoma is one of the bright minds awarded this scholarship, which will allow him to further his studies in welding at Tulsa Welding School. Bryce is on a pathway to becoming a certified welding inspector and has previously showcased his skills by participating in Future Farmers of America (FFA) competitions focused on welding and agricultural mechanics. Holding a level 1 structural welding certification, he grasps a passion for completing welding jobs for the local farming community.
Kristina Glasow, attending WyoTech from Simpsonville, South Carolina, is pursuing a degree in collision and refinishing technology. Her ambition lies in the automotive industry, particularly in modifying classic vehicles and high-performance race cars. Kristina aims to hone her skills in restoring classic car models while enhancing their function and aesthetics.
Jackson Owens hails from Spicer, Minnesota and is currently studying AAS industrial welding at Ridgewater College. Jackson has proudly represented Ridgewater at prestigious competitions such as SkillsUSA's National Welding Fabrication and the American Welding Society's Behind the Mask contest. As an additional endeavor, he operates a mobile welding business and mentors upcoming welders, striving to empower them in their careers. Jadea Smith from Eganville, Ontario, Canada is an aspiring registered welding apprentice through the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship program. Her passion for welding ignited during a high school program aimed at introducing young women to the trade. Thanks to the Trade School Scholarship, she will pursue her education in Welder-Fitter Mechanical Technician at Canadore College this upcoming term.
