A friend of mine bought about 1000 share of CTIX last year and I was talking to him about the post RR conference.He was also dissapointed that the POC trial was cancelled.
I asked him why and he said he thought it would raise the SP to $3.I then asked him if he was going to sell at $3 and he said "Hell No!!".To which I asked "what price are you waiting for?"He said "For the $100+ buyout".
I then said "Well then,what does a near term spike do for you if you want to be "bought out?"
"Nothing I guess" he said.
I then said "As long as trials are doing well and moving forward,even if MM's keep the SP under $3-$5,a buyout for $150+/share will bring you from $3 to $150 overnight then,right?"
He agreed .I added "Don't lose sight of your goals".
