My concern is that since the years beginning, each PR, Tweet and announcement seems to put them in a position of being less accountible whille rasing the expectation for the next bit of info they release.

It's really the absolute worst way to do business and keep shareholders informed.  It's quite sad actually.  I'm just glad that like you I only hold enough shares that my ego would be slightly bruised if I lost it all, and nothing more.
