Right, I understand what the record date means. But they have already set the record date: June 5th, 2013. That means everyone who held shares on that day should receive the dividend. Surely people who held shares on that day no longer do, and someone else holds their shares. So does that mean the person who held shares on June 5th, but no longer does, will not receive the dividend that was promised to them?
