Your very expensive by the hour lawyer will explain to you that pointing to what you consider to be bad behavior by somebody else doesn't excuse your own bad behavior.  This is why Conrad Black, from PRISON of all places, successful won a string of libel suits including against the chairman of the SEC!  Conrad Black was a very very very very bad boy.  But that did NOT give anybody the right to commit libel.  Not even the chairman of the SEC.
