Joe:  There may be 55,000 available but 550,000 may be naked shorted.  Think about the enormous problem that creates for those that owe shares.  Think about the consequences should TEVE start paying dividends be they cash or stock.  A 2/1 forward split would increase availability to 110,000 shares but would increase the naked short to 1,100,000.  Seems to me the  company might have to declare more than one  forward split.  Years ago I remember the TASR situation where the stock traded from under $5.00 to about $300.00 with as I recall a 2/1 and 3/1 forward split declared.  Back then, the shorts did not have nearly the control over the regulators but I think the pendulum is finally starting to swing back.  Go TEVE!!!
