When a company owns a mine with proven reserves it is a mining company. That is it's business! It is a development company while it completes the permitting process.

There are so many other companies that claim to be mining companies that have never owned a gram, just "claim" to be mining companies like GDSM, GEAR, etc. And there are those who claim billions in gold and other PMs and all they do is mine investors wallets, companies like BONZ,   MISM,  HNDO and dozens more!
