Junebug, the agreement with NorthCal says it is "exclusive."  So you are right, NorthCal may need to kick their operation up a notch or even more.  Since it is an exclusive agreement, all other companies wanting HIMR recovered wood must obtain it through NorthCal's distribution network.  And when these large orders come through, I would expect a lot of press and fan fare to accompany such orders.  That means more investors interest.
