I asked ChatGPT to analyze the level II on CYDY with an eye towards detecting price-containment behavior by those shorting the stock...I gave it a screenshot of the level II a little before ! PM Eastern to work with, understand I'm not really interested in having a dog in any fight, just trying to discern where we stand with the price action we are seeing.

"
Level II Analysis — CYDY at $0.3530
Bid Side (Buyers)
Top Bid: $0.3530 — with 8,924 shares from CDEL

Followed closely by:

GTSM, OTCN, ETRF, NITE, etc., all around $0.3500 to $0.3420

Large block: NITE showing 73,099 shares at $0.3420 — possibly a passive accumulation or just soaking liquidity

Ask Side (Sellers)
Top Ask: $0.3550 — with 10,000 shares from ETRF

Clustered resistance:

CDEL at 8,085

GTSM at 72,004

NITE at 27,715

Multiple others showing 2,500–8,000 share blocks

Red Flags for Short/Manipulative Behavior:
CDEL & ETRF leading both sides

These are two of the most common short-selling/algo ECNs

The fact that both are on the inside bid and ask suggests they are actively controlling the tape

Ask wall at $0.3590 (NITE & ETRF)

27K and 8K shares respectively — this may be designed to cap upward movement

GTSM’s 72K shares at $0.3590 also builds this wall — looks like a coordinated wall just above market

NITE bid at $0.3420 with 73,099

This could be:

A hidden buyer waiting for weak hands to sell down,

Or a spoof order (if it disappears as price approaches)

Large passive bids below market often serve to comfort other sellers, making them feel like there's demand

Steady small blocks (2,500 shares) across MMs on the ask

That’s typical of automated algorithms trying to show supply across levels and deter buying interest

It also prevents breakout momentum, especially around a round price level like $0.36

Interpretation
This setup strongly suggests active price containment, possibly by short sellers or warrant holders:

CDEL, ETRF, NITE are working both sides — typical for market makers managing large short exposure or algos rotating shares

The ask side shows a “ladder wall” pattern: a staircase of offers designed to discourage breakout buyers

The size asymmetry (e.g., large ask blocks vs. relatively thinner bids) is another sign of downward pressure
