Well, that’s why I moved all my shares back in 2020 over from ETRADE to Fidelity. I was trying to do exactly what you are describing and I called and asked for a supervisor and said I want to put a cell order in at $100 per share and they said no and I said, can you please ask for permission here and they said it’s a penny stock and basically the market makers wouldn’t allow them to do that so I said if you don’t put the sale order in because it’s my money then I’m moving all my money out of your account which was a substantial amount They got back to me and said sorry you can’t put in cell order in that high so I said then let’s transfer my money immediately and I did and I haven’t looked back. I still have an IRA at Fidelity, but it was the point that they were trying to control what I did with my money that pissed me off.
