I hadn't thought of the Amarex settlement in these terms, but biloxi's post triggered this comparison. In some cultures a dowry is still required before marriage. Prior to the Amarex settlement Cytodyn was a pretty, but poor (really poor) girl. With the settlement she is much prettier. She can dress better, speak better, and look better. Not only is she more attractive, but mommy and daddy can be more selective, as she will have multiple suitors. One can only hope.
