Did SBLK get ahead of itself? Obviously the dividend was a huge factor in pps going up. Earnings came in 3 million under analyst predictions but high enough to justify higher payout. Previous dividend of .45 cents represented. 46% of earnings. Now analysts say Sblk earnings going forward will be 53 mil. If that is true using the 46% formula is next dividend around .25.? We will find out Aug 1. The good news earnings improve according to the guru's in 3rd and especially 4th quarter. Several brokerages have price targets indicating SBLK by end of year to be $28-30. If this goes below $26 I think I will buy a few more for long term. Right now it's kind of pricy for me at $26.99.
