Leronlimab has been exception to the rule... almost since its inception...that being said...IF a billionaire would come along...and "discovered" the Molecule...buying the Molecule would likely be out of reach financially...funding a trial for a $100 Million would be an opening with assurances of milestones etc...To keep Big Pharma out of the sway of influence would be like separating The Vatican in Rome from all other Dioceses within the Catholic Church.
To make it work in Pharmaceuticals you need to be vertically integrated...with R&D...distribution partners ...Network of Marketing...Blah,Blah,Blah.
Not even the Koch brothers could make that happen. The average billionaire is about 5 Billion...the brothers are about $100 billion.
Along with the blessing of the FDA...comes the blessing of Big Pharma...IF you can't beat them..join them.
Incidentally Big Pharma revenue is about thirteen thousand Billion...(1.3Trillion)...So I think We Need them...and conversely...when "Discovered", they will Need us.
