"Persist in latent reservoirs"...and avoid detection...has always been the big boogeyman in my mind...Can Leronlimab effectively Scout Out...the bad guys
Maraviroc has been shown to increase release from latent reservoirs, leronlimab would do the same. My guess is that decreased viral loads trigger that release. I had proposed long ago that there would be an ever decreasing amount of latent reservoirs over time as reproduction slows because of CCR5 blockage.
I took a look at life spans of those reservoirs and thought it was possible if there were no viral rebounds that HIV may have a chance at being cleared at 14 years (?) of leronlimab use. What I wondered was whether viral load continued to decrease over time when leronlimab was used. We know the lowest viral load with leronlimab was .5 copies/ml, which is astoundingly good. But we don't know whether that occurred in a long term patient.
