I could go on at length about how the amyloid-theory proponents have wasted literally decades and many billions of dollars on their unproven theory that amyloid deposits are the cause of dementia. Others think that attempting to remove amyloid deposits to cure Alzheimer's is like removing scabs to heal a cut -- the amyloid is the brain's attempt to limit the damage.
