I had to get a routine endoscopy at my local hospital yesterday. I asked how many COVID cases were there and was told 8. Last winter it was in the hundreds, and you couldn't get admitted. My county has the highest percentage of seniors in the state. COVID is still a threat to many people, but mortality is way down. That got me thinking about all the "anecdotal" stories promoted under Nader.
Don't we still need therapeutics as COVID continues to mutate? Were these anecdotes true? No one has ever said they weren't. Look how China has been shut down. Does anyone truly believe there will be no resurgence of COVID around the world, perhaps even over the next few months? Is there no room at all in Cytodyn to resume some level of COVID trials?
I haven't given much thought to COVID, but the people (I know) still wearing masks and erring on the side of caution are more afraid of long-haulers than the few days of COVID incubation. I'm in total agreement with the priorities set by King Cyrus, but I'm hopeful that a backburner for COVID is still lit. Thoughts?
