Your links didn't work, so I could not see them. I did see what evil posted and it was just a very small part of the demand, which, if you're a lawyer, you know you need to see the whole contract to get the context. The words "liquidated damages" don't have to be in the demand, but of course you know that.
They may be asking for damages that can be effectively shown up to the amount of the liquidated damages, or maybe not, I just don't know. I was merely saying what is "usual and customary" in contracts such as this, not what was absolutely, definitively, 100% there.
