I do not think the meeting is a substitution for any PRs. A visit was requested, and approved. Then, within a day, extended to all. No secrecy. Other than meeting the company and taking a tour, I have no thoughts that I get insider info.

IMO, we are making a mountain out of a molehill.
Go to the meeting or don't go. It is your choice. If you can't go this month, make arrangements to go another time.
