No conclusions drawn. Just possibilities.
If the middle-term goal of the management is to sell the company (after boosting the share price via lifting the hold, winning $ from Amarex, sending in the BLA for HIV, initiating effective trials via partnership), then a director could "oversee corporate activities and asses [management] performance" by assisting in the buyout via his/her network and expertise.
Or just chow down some finger food at the annual meeting and head back home to watch Succession season 4.
