I don’t really understand the $10 price we are discussing, the only support for that number Is the Chris Sandburg estimate and the past stock peak that got there momentarily. Chris sandberg’s estimate is odd because most of his article points to a partnership first, then a buyout. I doubt we will ever have a moment to be contemplating a buyout at $10 a share. The open board seats and a new president suggest a partner. If a partner steps in, the stock price will rise significantly an could very easily go to $10, but that is not a buy out situation. It might be a sell point for some investors but it is also a buy for new investors who feel $10 is just the start. Results from a partnered drug development will further move the stock price. That will take time.
It feels like the discussion is an exploration of what is the lowest stock prices buyout might be to satisfy the investors. It does not have much use as what actually might happen will likely be a very different sequence of events.
