Wish debuts shoppable video tool for merchants - Feb. 17, 2022

https://www.retaildive.com/news/wish-debuts-s...ts/618943/

"The feature is now available for Android users in the U.S., Canada, Germany and six other countries, but Wish said it plans to introduce it to iOS users in April."

I guess if they waited to release both Android and iOS together, their Wishful bedwetters would be all up in their sheets.

For those that remember, Wish was one of the companies I posted about a few times...

Wish Raises Series H at $11.2B Valuation After Doubling Revenue in 2018 - August 1, 2019

"Founded in 2010, San Francisco-based Wish has now raised a total of $1.6 billion over its lifetime , according to Crunchbase. The startup is geared toward so-called “bargain” shoppers looking for a deal."

Ahhhh, that was before their IPO

Online retailer Wish falls in 2020’s worst debut for big U.S. IPO
December 16, 2020

"Shares of Wish opened at $22.75 apiece, below the $24 they were sold for in its $1.1 billion initial public offering. The shares closed at $20.05, giving the company a value of at roughly $14 billion on a fully diluted basis, which includes options and restricted stock units as well as the outstanding shares listed in its filings."

So they raised billions of dollars and their market cap is $1.3B now so lost 90%+ of it's value. Stock is sitting at around $2. Is it going to get delisted???

They went from $30 to $2 in one year. That's like of 95% drop.

Do you know why?

Their revenue has been dropping. $368M last quarter which is just a bit more than 1l2 of the previous quarter.

While that is still a good chunk of revenue, it's going the wrong way.

But it does show you how companies with a market, can make a killing in the market.

Does anybody know what they did wrong?
